My Husband Green Mountain Boy 02 Left Us One Year Ago Today

Today is the anniversary. One year ago today, a snowy Friday, Terun Sabre Weed aka GreenMountainBoy02 left us for the great beyond. I wasn't with him when he died--I arrived just minutes too late. Taking the wedding ring off his dead finger was a hard task. He was so proud of it--our rings belonged to my grandparents. I'm so glad his identical twin brother and his family was there to comfort.

I still miss him. Think of him and his love for this community and for me. Thanks to the quilting community for the quilt, and to all of you who have been supportive of me in my year of grief. I don't know what I'd do without you.

Thanks also to our lodge brothers for their moral support, and to the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Luke in Portland, Maine, our spiritual home and the many Nurses and Doctors and Aides who worked so hard to save his life (but in vain) at Maine Medical Centre in Portland, Maine and all our dear friends, most especially Bill in Portland Maine and Common Sense Mainer and our dear friend Stephen. Thanks also to my partner in grief, Dave in Northridge and all of my friends on Daily Kos.

He was the love of my life. I miss him dearly.

Rest in peace my dear one. Terun Sabre Weed (1964-2013)
